MXM Electric Motorcycle

MXM Electric Motorcycle

Product Design Electric Dirt Bike

MXM (More X Mobility) is a Czech startup focused on developing electric off-road motorcycles. The motorcycle is designed from the ground up as an electric vehicle without compromises, featuring proprietary development including electric motor, frame, and powertrain system.

About the Project

MXM is a Czech startup focused on developing electric off-road motorcycles. The company specializes in designing motorcycles built "from the ground up as electric without compromises" - featuring proprietary development solutions including electric motor, frame, and powertrain system.

The company also develops electric speedway motorcycles for young riders (age categories 6-13 years, 125cc and 250cc classes).

MX Prototype Specifications

  • Power: up to 42 kW
  • Weight: from 110 kg
  • Torque: 1000+ Nm
  • Battery: up to 7000 Wh

Partnership

The company is supported by HENNLICH s.r.o., which assists with development and production.

Swardman Electra

Swardman Electra

Product Design Electric German Design Award 2019

Electra represents another developmental milestone for the product delivered to Swardman. It is based on the construction of the older Edwin product, sharing most elements such as the drive roller, cassette system of interchangeable tools, and adaptive grass catcher tilt angle.

About the Project

Electra represents another developmental milestone for the product delivered to Swardman. It is based on the construction of the older Edwin product, sharing most elements such as the drive roller, cassette system of interchangeable tools, and adaptive grass catcher tilt angle. Unlike Edwin, the machine is powered by 2 independent electric motors.

The overall design was simplified. Swardman Electra is my first model to receive the prestigious German Design Award.

Award

German Design Award 2019 - prestigious international recognition for exceptional product design.

Product Design Combustion Engine Reel Mower

In 2014, while studying in my 3rd year at CTU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, I received an offer to develop an entire product from scratch. It was a replacement for a domestic reel mower with a 45 and 55 cm cutting width powered by a combustion engine.

About the Project

In 2014, while studying in my 3rd year at CTU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, I received an offer to develop an entire product from scratch. It was a replacement for a domestic reel mower with a 45 and 55 cm cutting width powered by a combustion engine. The client was Ing. Tomas Sena, who had previously sold the English brand ATCO, which had just ceased operations.

The project brief was also unique. No precise specifications for mechanical components, design, or similarity to competing machines. Just a textual product definition and complete creative freedom.

After 5 months of independent development in 14/6 mode, the first prototype was created. After another 4 months, the mower underwent optimization for faster assembly, quicker welding, and lost more than 4 kg of material thanks to basic FEM calculations (Finite Element Method).

To date, Swardman has manufactured over 1,500 units of this machine sold worldwide, with strong presence in the USA, Australia, and Germany.

6IXTEN Robot

6IXTEN Robot

Robotics ABB University Award 2013 Experimental

6IXTEN is an experimental robot consisting of a special chassis designed for driving on rough terrain, and electronics that recognize the type and size of obstacles.

About the Project

University project by team Marek Votroubek / Monika Svedirohova

6IXTEN is an experimental robot consisting of a special chassis designed for driving on rough terrain, and electronics that recognize the type and size of obstacles and can control the chassis geometry to best adapt to them. The chassis can be operated in classic automobile mode or in "walking" mode, which is provided by a hydraulic system.

Another advantage of this chassis is the presence of a special mechanical solution for half-axles that respond precisely to small obstacles and irregularities using damper systems. The chassis mechanically adapts itself to obstacles such as steps and tends to lift the front wheels due to motor traction. It can also adapt to descending under obstacles, where the half-axles rotate in the direction of travel and are also capable of independently damping each of the four wheel blocks.

The hydraulic system is activated when sensors detect an obstacle that the robot cannot drive over. The frame geometry is designed so that the robot can lift any half-axle and move it in any direction without tipping over. The robot locks all wheels and can walk forward or backward. The maximum lift height of a half-axle in one step is up to 45 cm.
